Let’s recall that CDPR recently released a 10-minute video about the making of the debut trailer for The Witcher 4. Some people thought that Ciri’s model in it differed from the one already shown for the better.
As it turned out, fans are passing off wishful thinking as reality. Fan theories, covered by a number of media outlets, were commented on in his microblog by the head of development of The Witcher 4 Sebastian Kalemba.

According to Kalemba, the behind-the-scenes video shows the same Ciri model that was in the trailer, but without facial animation, lighting, and virtual camera lenses: “We didn’t modify her.”

The executive assured that such differences are a natural part of game development: “At this stage, the appearance of any character can differ depending on the format – be it a trailer, a 3D model or an in-game model.”
The Witcher 4 is an open-world action role-playing game. The game is being developed on Unreal Engine 5 and has no release date. According to the plot, Ciri has passed the Trial of the Grasses and is preparing to become a witcher.
