In addition to the front bays for hot-swappable drives, there are two internal connectors for M.2 2280 (NVMe) SSDs. The storage has two 2.5GbE RJ45 network ports and two USB 3.2 Gen1 connectors. RAID 0/1/5/6/10 arrays can be formed. Support for the following protocols is mentioned: SMB1 (CIFS), SMB2, SMB3, NFSv3, NFSv4, NFSv4.1, iSCSI, HTTP, HTTPs, FTP, SNMP, LDAP, CalDAV.
The DiskStation DS1525+ model can be equipped with an E10G22-T1-Mini network module with 10GbE support. The declared data transfer rate reaches 1181 MB/s when reading and 1180 MB/s when writing (when using SSD). The dimensions are 166×230×223 mm, the weight is 2.67 kg without installed drives. Two fans with a diameter of 92 mm are responsible for cooling.
The DiskStation DS1825+ variant is equipped with a PCIe 3.0 slot, which can accommodate a 10GbE or 10/25GbE SFP+/SFP28 card. The read speed is up to 2239 MB/s, the write speed is up to 1573 MB/s. The device has dimensions of 166×343×243 mm and weighs about 6 kg. Two 120 mm cooling fans are installed. The operating temperature range of the new products extends from 0 to +40 °C.
