Sharp has unveiled two smartphones to complement its Aquos line: the powerful Aquos R10 and the affordable Aquos Wish 5. Both models feature elegant designs, as well as innovative display and durability solutions.

The Sharp Aquos R10 features a 6.5-inch Pro IGZO OLED display with Full HD+ resolution and variable refresh rate support from 1 to 240 Hz. The peak brightness is 3000 cd/m², and Sharp Virtual HDR technology is supported, improving the quality of non-HDR video.

The smartphone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor; high performance is provided by 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512 GB of built-in UFS 4.0 memory. The stable operation of the device is supported by a copper heat dissipation system located directly under the evaporation chamber and the processor.

The handset runs Google Android 15 and offers a range of AI features, including keyword recording during calls and smart scheduling. There are two cameras on the back with 50.3-megapixel sensors developed in collaboration with Leica: one with a 23mm wide-angle lens and the other with a 13mm wide-angle lens. The front camera also has a resolution of 50.3 megapixels. There is a night mode, zoom, AI noise reduction and spectral color adjustment for image enhancement.

The Sharp Aquos R10 smartphone is equipped with a 5000 mAh battery with support for fast charging at 36 W via the USB Type-C 3.2 Gen 1 port. The sound is reproduced through two stereo speakers in an all-metal case with support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio with the LDAC codec. The case is protected from water and dust according to IPX5, IPX8, IP6X standards, and also complies with the military standard MIL-STD-810G. Biometric authentication is carried out by scanning the face and fingerprints. Nano SIM and eSIM are supported, there is NFC.

The Sharp Aquos Wish 5 is aimed at users looking for a simple yet reliable smartphone. It features a 6.6-inch IPS display with HD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and increased brightness. The device runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, has 4GB of RAM, and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage with support for expansion via virtual memory. Android 15 includes an AI assistant for calls that blocks suspicious calls and can convert voice messages into text.

There’s a single 50.1-megapixel camera on the back with a Sharp ProPix Lite processor; the front camera has an 8-megapixel resolution. It supports AI-powered image optimization features, including for taking pictures of food and documents.

The 5000 mAh battery supports charging at up to 27 W via the USB Type-C 2.0 port. Sharp’s intelligent charging system is implemented, stopping the process at 90% to extend the battery life. The smartphone is protected according to IPX5, IPX8, IPX9, IP6X standards, and also complies with the MIL-STD-810H standard. Face recognition and a fingerprint scanner are supported; a 3.5 mm headphone jack is provided.

Both models will go on sale in Japan, Taiwan, Singapore and Indonesia. The Sharp Aquos Wish 5 will be available at the end of June, and the Sharp Aquos R10 in July. Prices have not yet been announced.
