Let us remind you that the events of the film based on Until Dawn will unfold in the same universe as in the case of the original game, but the film will not be a direct retelling of its plot: the adaptation has its own story and characters.

In the story, a group of young people find themselves in an abandoned tourist center, where they are killed by a masked maniac. The heroes wake up that evening and are forced to relive the nightmare over and over again. The only salvation is to survive until dawn.

The debut trailer for Until Dawn stretches for two and a half minutes and shows the plot, some of the threats that await the heroes, and one face familiar to fans of the game.

Actor Peter Stormare, who played the role of Dr. Hill in the original Until Dawn, plays a different character in the film – one of the key links between the adaptation and the original source.

The creators of the film adaptation emphasized that, following the acting, not everything in the adaptation is what it initially seems: “With this film, we wanted to keep the audience guessing what will happen next until the very end.”

The Until Dawn film will be released on April 25. The director was David F. Sandberg, known for horror films like Lights Out, and the script was written by Gary Dauberman, who worked on It.
