XPeng AeroHT has begun building a plant to produce flying electric vehicles – production will start in 2026

With the transition of vehicles to electric power and as overland transport channels became oversaturated, manufacturers began to think about their development in other media, and air became a priority. The Chinese company XPeng AeroHT this week laid the foundation for an enterprise in its native Guangzhou, which by 2026 will master the production of electric vehicles with a standard flying module.

Let us remind you that the six-wheeled Land Aircraft Carrier minivan, capable of carrying an electric-powered aircraft in the cargo compartment, was valued by XPeng AeroHT at $280,000 and has already begun accepting pre-orders for such an “aircraft carrier.” The company in Guangzhou is expected to launch serial production of up to 10,000 units per year by 2026. About 1,000 preliminary applications have already been accepted, with about 150 of them distributed between two Chinese companies. The ground module of this “aircraft carrier” can accommodate four people, but only two can take off. What is typical is that if the aircraft will move exclusively on electric power, then the minivan is equipped with a hybrid power plant, which will give it an adequate range for an expedition-oriented vehicle in the region of 1000 km.
