The ZTE-owned Nubia brand introduced the powerful Z60 Ultra Leading Version and Z60S Pro smartphones. The former boasts an overclocked Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, while the latter boasts an advanced camera with additional AI-powered features.
The main difference between the Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version and the base Z60 Ultra presented last fall was the overclocked processor: the clock frequency of the Arm Cortex-X4 main core increased from 3.3 to 3.4 GHz, and the graphics accelerator increased from 900 MHz to 1 GHz. The smartphone runs Android 14 with MyOS 14 interface. The 6000 mAh battery supports 80 W wired charging. Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version is available in black and silver colors with configurations of 8/256 GB ($649), 12/256 GB ($699), 16/512 GB ($779) and 16 GB/1 TB ($879).
On the front side of the new product there is a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a frequency of 120 Hz, as well as an under-screen 12-megapixel camera with an updated algorithm for improving shooting quality for clearer self-portraits. The NeoVision AI Photography System 2.0 is responsible for managing the set of main cameras: unlike the basic version of the phone, the Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Version model received a main camera with a focal length of 35 mm and a Sony 9 series sensor; the wide-angle module (18 mm) received a larger aperture with the same resolution of 50 megapixels; The 64-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens (85 mm) remains in place.
The Nubia Z60S Pro is a direct successor to last year’s Z50S Pro, which retains almost all the same specifications except for a larger sensor in the main camera with a focal length of 35mm. The device also received a new set of AI features, including Magic Eraser, an algorithm for processing starry skies and an ultra-wide 65:24 cinema format. The 8-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens and the main 50-megapixel camera, as well as a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a frequency of 120 Hz, remain in place. The smartphone runs on an older Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip; The 5100 mAh battery supports 80W charging.
Nubia Z60S Pro is available in black, aquamarine and white colors with configurations of 12/2546 GB ($569), 16/512 GB ($669) and 16 GB/1 TB ($769). Pre-orders for both models are accepted on the manufacturer’s website, and they will go on sale on August 12.
