The new product is equipped with Mini-LED backlighting with 1152 local dimming zones.
The monitor has a 10-bit matrix (8 bit + FRC) with a brightness of 700 cd/m2 in SDR mode, a contrast ratio of 1000:1, a peak brightness of 1250 cd/m2 in HDR mode and a response speed of 1 ms (GtG). It claims support for dynamic refresh rate (VRR) and VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification. The monitor has 99.5 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, 129 percent NTSC and 166 percent sRGB.
Philips Evnia 32M2N6800M is equipped with proprietary Ambiglow backlighting, which changes depending on what is happening on the screen, which is designed to increase user immersion in the displayed content.
The set of external monitor connectors includes one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1. There’s also a USB hub with one USB-B upstream and three USB-A downstream (one of which supports fast charging) and one 3.5mm audio output. The monitor has an ergonomic stand with the ability to adjust the height of the display above the table, as well as the angles of rotation and tilt.
The Philips Evnia 32M2N6800M will go on sale in September this year. The recommended price of the monitor is currently only known for the UK. There it will be 739.99 British pounds.
