At today’s annual presentation, Xiaomi introduced the Buds 5 headphones. According to the manufacturer, thanks to the semi-in-ear design, the user “barely feels them in the ear while wearing them.” Each earbud weighs just 4.2g but can last an impressive 6.5 hours, for a total listening time of 39 hours with a charge in the case.
The headphones support the Qualcomm aptX Lossless audio codec (up to 2.1 Mbps), which ensures listening to music without loss of quality. A team of Harman AudioEFX specialists took part in tuning the sound of the model. Xiaomi Buds 5 received four new colors – frosty blue, titanium gold, moon black and snow white.
There’s active noise cancellation and AI-powered noise cancellation for voice calls using three microphones.
The headphones provide spatial audio and multipoint connectivity. Xiaomi claims an IP54 rating for the Buds 5, making them resistant to sweat and rain.
The price of Xiaomi Buds 5 is 700 yuan ($97).
