One of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra cameras will boast a combination of a telephoto lens and a large 1/1.4-inch Samsung ISOCELL HP9 image sensor with a resolution of 200 MP, which will be able to provide a tenfold (and even more) high-quality zoom. Xiaomi also solved a serious problem inherent in telephoto lenses – the appearance of glare. The company used a special 24-layer glass with a unique coating – it reduces reflectivity to 1.5%.
This glass was placed over the entire camera block to improve light transmission and enhance low-light shooting quality. Its coating also acts as a protective layer, thanks to which scratch resistance has increased by 82%. The main camera will again receive a 1-inch sensor, and this is a predictable step – Xiaomi has been installing such sensors on flagship cameras since the release of the 12S Ultra almost three years ago.
The Chinese announcement of Xiaomi 15 Ultra will take place on February 27, the world presentation of the flagship smartphone is expected on March 2 at the MWC exhibition in Barcelona.
