Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 will be a direct sequel to the first part and will offer you to slice up your enemies with a deadly chainsword and turn them into a fountain of pixels and blood with your trusty shotgun (see the announcement trailer below).
The details of the non-linear campaign are not disclosed. Players will visit new worlds: “To complete your mission, you will need to overcome the challenges of each biome – from the colossal heights of the hive city to the impassable mangrove swamps.”
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 is expected to be released in 2026 on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The game is published by Big Fan Games (a division of Devolver Digital). Russian language support is not announced.
As for the reimagining, it’s called Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun – Words of Vengeance and is an on-rails shooter in which players’ main weapon is the keyboard.
In order for the space marine Malum Kaedo to successfully hack and shoot enemies, users need to timely type random (but thematic) words and phrases that appear on the screen. Only English is supported.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun — Words of Vengeance won’t have to wait. The shooter is already available on Steam, and absolutely free. The release was accompanied by a visual gameplay trailer.
