The open-world action RPG The Witcher 4 is still far from release, and no fan would refuse the chance to at least touch the beta version of the game. Unfortunately, only scammers can offer such an opportunity so far.

Developers from the Polish studio CD Projekt Red warned on their social networks that some players have begun to receive invitations to participate in the supposed beta testing of The Witcher 4.
«This is a scam! We are already taking measures to ensure that such messages are removed. But if you have seen something like this, be sure to report the message using the built-in tools in your email or social networks,” CDPR advised.
The studio reminded that “witchers don’t fall into traps,” and assured: “If there is ever a beta test, you will be the first to know about it – through our official social networks and websites.”
The game is an open-world action role-playing game powered by Unreal Engine 5 and the beginning of a new trilogy. According to the plot, Ciri has passed the Trial of the Grasses and is preparing to become a real witcher.
In its March financial report, CD Projekt management assured that CDPR will not use generative AI in the development of The Witcher 4 or “other projects in the near future.”
The Witcher 4 doesn’t have any target platforms yet, but at least it now has a release date – no earlier than 2027. The game entered active production last fall.
