11 bit studios’ revenue for the reporting period reached PLN 140.54 million ($37.3 million), which exceeds 2023 figures by 168.9% and is a record result in the company’s history.

The main driver of 11 bit’s success in 2024 was the city-building strategy with survival elements Frostpunk 2. By the end of December, the game had sold over 592 thousand copies and brought in 69.7 million zlotys ($18.5 million) in revenue.

The company hopes that future DLCs will improve Frostpunk 2’s standing in the eyes of players.

11 bit’s operating loss in 2024 was PLN 2.84 million ($0.75 million), while net income reached PLN 6.9 million ($1.83 million). The company had hoped for more, but in December, due to the cancellation of Project 8, it lost PLN 48.42 million ($12.85 million).

Sales of older games like Frostpunk and This War of Mine jumped by 13.7% compared to 2023, and of the publishing branch’s projects, only Indika performed well – The Thaumaturge and Creatures of Ava failed to resonate with players.

Indika started making money almost immediately after its release.

As part of the report, 11 bit studios also announced that it has begun development on the next Frostpunk game and a larger new IP project, with the former expected to release in 2027 and the latter in 2029.

Currently, 11 bit studios is preparing for release the philosophical survival game The Alters (June 13) and two partner projects – the role-playing roguelike action game Moonlighter 2 (summer) and the card soulslike game Death Howl (2025).
