Following the announcement of the desktop version of the GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card, Nvidia has introduced a mobile version of the RTX 5060 for laptops. At the moment, the RTX 5060 is the least productive GeForce RTX 50-series graphics card for laptops, but in the future, the company plans to release an even less productive model – the RTX 5050.

The GeForce RTX 5060 mobile is based on the GB206 graphics processor. Unlike the desktop version with 3840 CUDA cores, the mobile version of the GPU is equipped with only 3328 CUDA cores – 15% less. Nevertheless, Nvidia is confident that the mobile card will provide performance comparable to the desktop version. The mobile chip is declared to have a frequency of up to 2497 MHz (the same as the desktop version). The card is equipped with 8 GB of GDDR7 memory with a 128-bit bus.

The stated dynamic power consumption range of the mobile GeForce RTX 5060 is from 45 to 100 watts. Some laptop manufacturers have confirmed that they will use Nvidia Dynamic Boost technology, which allows increasing the power limit of the video card by an additional 25 watts. Thus, the maximum power consumption of the mobile RTX 5060 can reach 125 watts.

All major laptop makers have confirmed models with RTX 5060 graphics. Nvidia says the most affordable RTX 5060 laptops will start at $1,099 — $100 more than similar models with the previous-generation RTX 4060 graphics. The company also clarified that the first RTX 5060 laptops will go on sale in May, along with the desktop version.
