Instagram✴ will be adding a scheduling feature for sending direct messages (DM), the ability to pin up to three important messages to the top of the chat so they don’t get lost in the flow of correspondence, as well as a translator and the ability to share your favorite music.

One of the key new features, as reported by The Verge, will be the message scheduling function. Now users will be able to write a text in advance and set it to be sent on a specific date up to 29 days in advance. Meta✴ representatives explained that the changes are aimed at simplifying communication with people from different time zones and saving important messages in active group chats. “These updates will help you avoid losing important messages in the flow of correspondence, such as memes,” the company noted.
Other new features include the ability to invite friends to group chats using a QR code and the ability to translate messages into different languages. Translation covers 99 languages, and the result is displayed directly in the chat, as if the message was originally sent in the desired language.

Another interesting addition to Instagram✴ will be the ability to share music directly in the app. Users will be able to listen to the same song at the same time with friends or send music tracks for listening at a convenient time without leaving the social network. Access to music search will be through the same interface where stickers and animated GIFs are located.
The music sharing feature will also appear on Broadcast Channels, which are public messaging channels for content creators with mostly one-way communication with subscribers.
