Asus has refreshed its lineup of gaming laptops, introducing new configurations with Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 graphics cards as a more affordable alternative to the RTX 5070. The switch to a less expensive GPU has reduced prices by $300–$400 across the ROG Strix, Zephyrus, and TUF Gaming series.

According to The Verge, the mid-range RTX 5060 graphics card with support for DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation technologies will appear in the high-performance ROG Strix G16 and G18, in the versatile Zephyrus G14, as well as in the TUF Gaming A14, A16, A18, and F16 models.
ROG Strix G16 and G18 are impressive in size and high performance. They are equipped with 16- and 18-inch screens, respectively, with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 240 Hz. The case is still decorated with signature RGB lighting, and IPS panels are used instead of a Mini LED matrix. Laptops are available with both Intel (Raptor Lake Refresh / Arrow Lake) and AMD (Dragon Range / Fire Range) processors, with 16 or 32 GB of RAM and an SSD of up to 2 TB. The devices are also equipped with a wide range of ports: HDMI 2.1, Ethernet, 3.5 mm audio jack, several USB-A, USB-C and Thunderbolt 4 (depending on the configuration). The cost of ROG Strix G16 starts at $ 1,499, and older versions will cost about $ 2,099.

The TUF Gaming series has been expanded with four models: the A14, A16, A18, and F16. They also use the RTX 5060, but have simplified specifications, such as a reduced screen refresh rate (to 144 or 165 Hz) and the presence of an outdated USB 2.0 port in the A18. This allowed them to maintain a competitive price: the TUF A18 and F16 cost $1,599, and the A14 and A16 cost $1,699. Depending on the model, the processors used are the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX (Arrow Lake), AMD Ryzen 7 260 (Hawk Point), and the new AMD Ryzen AI 7 350 (Kraken Point), which has already proven itself in other devices.

The update of the most compact and versatile gaming laptop Asus ROG Zephyrus G14 is worth mentioning separately. For $1799, the buyer gets an RTX 5060 graphics card, a 14-inch OLED display with a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels and a frequency of 120 Hz, an AMD Ryzen AI 9 270 processor, 16 GB of RAM, a 1 TB SSD and a modern set of interfaces: two USB-A, one USB-C, USB4, HDMI 2.1 and an audio jack. The portable design makes the device convenient for working outside the home, but the need to connect a bulky proprietary power supply under full load on the GPU can be inconvenient.

It is emphasized that all laptops equipped with RTX 5060 are fully compatible with Nvidia DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation technologies. Some models are already available for order in the Asus online store and from selected retail partners, and full availability of all configurations is expected in June.
