Xiaomi has announced the start of global sales of the flagship smartphone Xiaomi 15 Ultra. The main feature of the new product is a powerful camera system created by Xiaomi in collaboration with the German optical company Leica, allowing you to take professional-level pictures in any lighting conditions.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra is equipped with a system of four cameras located on a massive round protrusion on the back panel of the case. It includes the main 50-megapixel Sony LYT-900 sensor (optical format – 1 inch) with support for 4-in-1 Super Pixel pixel merging technology with a pixel size of 3.2 μm, 23-mm Leica Summilux optics with an f / 1.63 aperture and support for optical stabilization. It is also possible to set the focal length of 23, 28 or 35 mm. The system also includes a periscope telephoto camera with a 200-megapixel Samsung HP9 sensor measuring 1/1.4 inches (pixel size – 2.4 µm) with Leica optics with 100 mm equivalent focal length, f/2.6 aperture and optical image stabilization, which is complemented by a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera (f/2.2, viewing angle – 115°) and a 50-megapixel telephoto lens (f/1.8, equivalent focal length – 70 mm) with Leica optics.
The smartphone supports Master Portrait mode for smooth adjustment of focal length in the range from 23 mm to 135 mm, which, in combination with large apertures, provides flexible composition adjustment and allows you to take high-quality photos even in low light conditions. For taking selfies, a 32-megapixel front camera with an OmniVision OV32B image sensor and f / 2.0 aperture is used.
Xiaomi 15 Ultra is based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform with 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a UFS 4.1 flash drive with a capacity of 512 GB or 1 TB. For effective heat dissipation, a two-section Xiaomi 3D Dual-Channel IceLoop cooling system with an improved evaporation chamber is used.
The 6.73-inch AMOLED display with WQHD+ resolution (3200 × 1440 pixels) and a dynamic refresh rate of 1–120 Hz provides a peak brightness of 3200 cd/m². The screen supports the DCI-P3 color gamut, PWM backlight brightness control with a frequency of 1920 Hz, as well as Dolby Vision and HDR10+ technologies, which allows you to display a colorful and realistic picture.
The display is certified by TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light, TÜV Rheinland Flicker Free and TÜV Rheinland Circadian Friendly, which confirms the reduced level of blue light harmful to the eyes, the absence of flickering and glare. The screen also has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass is used to protect the display from scratches.
The power source is a 5410 mAh battery with support for 90 W wired HyperCharge charging via the USB Type-C port and 80 W wireless HyperCharge charging.
The Xiaomi 15 Ultra runs Xiaomi HyperOS 2, is equipped with the HyperConnect function for exchanging data with other Xiaomi ecosystem devices, a set of HyperAI AI functions and Google Gemini AI chatbot, as well as Xiaomi’s own HyperCore core.
The device’s specifications include stereo speakers with Hi-Res Audio and Dolby Atmos support, as well as a four-microphone array. The smartphone complies with the IP68 standard for protection against moisture and dust.
