Recall that when BlizzCon 2024 was announced last spring, Blizzard assured that they were “more excited than ever to return to BlizzCon in the future.” As it turns out, the return is being postponed until 2026.
BlizzCon 2026 will take place from September 12-13, 2026, at the familiar to fans of these events convention center in Anaheim, California. The announcement was accompanied by a teaser trailer for the future festival.
In 2026, BlizzCon attendees will be treated to an opening ceremony, panels, the Darkmoon Faire, friendly competitions, gameplay demos, and more. Blizzard is also looking to take the show to the next level.
«We’ve come a long way since the first BlizzCon in 2005. Over the past 20 years, BlizzCon has inspired us to innovate, push the boundaries of creativity, and create unforgettable experiences,” Blizzard said.
Blizzard is not yet ready to share additional details about BlizzCon 2026, but they encourage people to sign up for future updates via the festival’s official website.
It’s worth noting that it was recently revealed that the second expansion to Diablo IV has been postponed to 2026. Therefore, it is quite possible that the delayed expansion will become part of the BlizzCon 2026 program.
