According to some sources, AMD could have postponed the launch of the Radeon RX 9070 GRE to the fourth quarter. However, according to VideoCardz, citing its own sources, this is not the case. The exact date of the announcement of the new product is still unknown. But, like previous models of the GRE series video cards, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE will first be presented in China. Perhaps the new product will be shown before the Computex 2025 exhibition in May, where the announcement of the Radeon RX 9060 XT is expected.
According to the available information, the PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 GRE Red Devil uses the same cooler as the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT models, which are already on sale. The new product differs in having only two 8-pin connectors for additional power instead of three. It will require a power supply with a capacity of 650 W to operate.
According to VideoCardz, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE is based on the Navi 48 GPU with 3072 stream processors. The card will be equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory with a speed of 18 Gbps per contact and support for a 192-bit bus. There is no official data on the frequency of the GPU yet, but various sources predict a reference frequency of 2.79 GHz in Boost mode.
