As it became known, the large-scale patch 1.2 for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be released exactly one week later – next Thursday, March 13. This is the first major update for the game after the release.
Version 1.2 will include over 1,000 improvements. According to Warhorse PR manager Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, the list of changes stretches to 34 printed pages.
In particular, the developers are implementing the previously promised ability to customize the appearance of barbers. The creators of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 demonstrated the choice of hairstyles for the hero on a recent stream.
The patch will also bring mod support. Players will be able to modify and expand their medieval journey, as well as create new adventures. Mods can be installed and downloaded via the Steam Workshop.
In the longer term, Warhorse also plans to add a hardcore mode (currently in closed testing) and horse racing to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 via patches.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 was released on February 4 on PC (Steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, and will reach GOG by the end of spring. The game has earned high marks from critics and has sold 2 million copies in less than two weeks since its release.
