Less than a month has passed since the release of the Seamless Co-op modification for the action role-playing game Dark Souls 3, and its author has taken on the task of implementing seamless co-op in another popular game from the FromSoftware studio.

We are talking about the original Dark Souls, or rather, its updated version in the form of Dark Souls Remastered. The game has co-op, but it cannot be called seamless even with all the desire.

Modder Yui (aka LukeYui) announced plans to equip Dark Souls Remastered with seamless co-op back in mid-March, and recently published a video with the first demonstration of the mod.

As with Dark Souls 3, the Seamless Co-op mod for Dark Souls Remastered removes all restrictions of multiplayer play, allowing you to maintain a connection even if participants die.

«”Play with friends from the tutorial to the very end of the game, with progress synced without resummoning or disconnecting,” reads the description under the video with the debut demonstration of Seamless Co-op for Dark Souls Remastered.

Yui promises a stable multiplayer session after death, killing a boss, teleporting, etc., optional PvP invasions and difficulty modifiers (enemy health, friendly fire).

Seamless Co-op for Dark Souls Remastered is still in early production, so there is no release date. Yui is also continuing to work on the Dark Souls 3 version of the mod.
