According to Leadbetter, the build of Cyberpunk 2077 for Nintendo Switch 2 that he tested was two months old (that is, from February), but it gave the specialist “an absolutely mesmerizing experience.”
The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Cyberpunk 2077 supports two modes of operation:
- Quality – 30 fps at a dynamic resolution of 1080p (TV) / 720p (portable mode);
- Performance – 40 fps at 1080p/720p dynamic resolution.
A CDPR representative could neither confirm nor deny whether DLSS is used in the Switch 2 build of Cyberpunk 2077
In terms of performance, the demo’s open world of Dog Town (especially during major firefights) caused Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2 to stutter and stutter, while indoor scenes performed better.
Leadbetter concluded that the Switch 2’s problems are related to the high load on the CPU and GPU. CDPR faces a difficult task of balancing frame rate with image quality.

«”The port is obviously far from finished… At the same time, Cyberpunk 2077 is a benchmark for testing the capabilities of the system. Despite the frame rate issues and considering the visual limitations, it is still a beautiful game,” concluded Leadbetter.
