Polish publisher CI Games has not yet announced a sequel to the fantasy action role-playing game Lords of the Fallen, released last fall, but continues to share details of the game in its financial reports.
Let us remember that plans for the continuation of Lords of the Fallen were announced in the June report from CI Games. It followed that the second part will be released in 2026 and on PC, most likely, it will become an EGS exclusive – the publisher of the PC version will be Epic Games.
A new document has confirmed that CI Games has received a “significant investment” from Epic Games in exchange for exclusivity status for Lords of the Fallen 2 (codenamed Project 3 in the report).
According to information from the document, the sequel to Lords of the Fallen will receive a more “commercial” visual style and narrative – CI Games aims to expand the target audience of the project compared to last year’s release.
Also announced are gameplay improvements, an expanded selection of modes, a cooperative mode with shared progress and a full-fledged single-player campaign, as well as increased accessibility.
Lords of the Fallen 2 is being created for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X and S using the Unreal Engine 5. The release dates remained unchanged compared to the June report, but information has appeared about when to expect the announcement – in 2025.
Last year’s Lords of the Fallen is a soft reboot of the ten-year-old game of the same name. The project earned “mixed” reviews on Steam (62%), but sold 1 million copies in 10 days.
