Tecno has revealed details of the AI features of the second-generation foldable smartphones Phantom V Fold2 5G and Phantom V Flip2 5G, as well as the multi-functional stylus for big screen use – Phantom V Pen, announced this month. Compared to their predecessors, the new products have received a number of improvements.
The updated Ella AI Assistant, integrated with Google Gemini, now supports more complex conversations with users. In particular, it can help in planning the day, and will also provide assistance in solving everyday problems, for example, suggesting the right recipe or reporting the weather forecast.
«AI Editor” will offer powerful tools for working with text:
- Compose summaries of long documents, create new texts and edit them on request in a variety of styles, from friendly to professional;
- «AI Search” will help you quickly find information, for example, get a recipe from an image or find a product seen in an image on social networks by simply circling it on the screen.
AI is also being used in new smartphones to improve the quality of photography. Tecno Universal Tone technology uses AI algorithms to more accurately capture a variety of skin tones and display them more accurately when shooting, while AIGC Portrait allows you to create portrait shots with a variety of themes and templates.
AI Eraser makes it easy to remove objects when editing a photo, and One Click Cutout automatically recognizes and highlights objects in your photo when you long press for quick and easy image sharing.
The Phantom V Fold2 5G smartphone has a 6.42-inch external screen and a 7.85-inch main screen with an adaptive refresh rate of 10 to 120 Hz. The reliable hinge design allows you to withstand up to 400,000 folds. Among folding smartphones, the new product stands out for its high-capacity 5750 mAh battery and powerful 70 W included charging. The Phantom V Fold2 5G also supports 15W wireless charging. An advanced five-camera system will ensure high quality images. The main folding screen supports control by the Phantom V Pen stylus. What is very convenient, Phantom V Fold2 5G is fixed at any angle from 30° to 120°, providing a wide range of usage scenarios.
In turn, the “clamshell” Phantom V Flip2 5G has two bright AMOLED screens – an external 3.64-inch diagonal and a main folding 6.9-inch one. The smartphone received a system of three 50 MP FreeCam cameras with the ability to shoot from any angle. The Phantom V Flip2 5G also has one of the most energy-intensive vertical folding devices with a 4720 mAh battery. A 70W adapter is included.
The new Phantom V Pen allows you to unleash the full potential of the big screen. With its help, you can control your smartphone with an accuracy of 0.0625 pixels, making available a wider range of user scenarios for different tasks.
In particular, using the stylus, you can leave marks on screenshots, take notes on a large folding screen, perform calculations, work with visual content, and much more. In addition, the stylus has two buttons with which you can control your smartphone from a distance to switch slides or start shooting photos and videos. The 80 mAh battery provides up to two weeks of battery life with two hours of daily use. On the side of the stylus there is a Type-C port, compatible with smartphone chargers.
