AMD has decided to introduce the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards in China ahead of the rest of the world. The company announced the new products at a special event attended by AMD executives, including Jack Huynh, vice president and general manager of AMD’s Computing and Graphics Solutions Group.

In China, the Radeon RX 9070 XT is priced at 4999 yuan ($699), while the recommended price of the Radeon RX 9070 is 4499 yuan ($630). Thus, the new products are officially 26% cheaper than the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, whose recommended price for the Chinese market is 6299 yuan ($882). It should be noted that prices on the Chinese market include 13% VAT. According to the VideoCardz portal, if we focus on the United States, where prices are calculated without VAT, the recommended price of the Radeon RX 9070 XT may be $599, and the RX 9070 model – $549.
At the event in China, AMD showed the reference design of both cards. However, they will not go on sale in such reference versions. All tasks for the implementation of new products will be assigned to AMD partners, whose representatives also took part in the presentation. The heads of the Chinese offices of Asus, Sapphire, Gigabyte, Yeston, PowerColor, ASRock, XFX and Vastarmor spoke on stage.
AMD had not announced plans to hold a separate presentation of new video cards in China in advance, so this event was a bit of a surprise. For the rest of the world, the new products will be presented in a few hours. Usually, the company’s announcements take place closer to evening Moscow time.
According to the Chinese presentation, the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 will go on sale from March 6.
