Developers from the American studio TeamKill Media (Quantum Error, Son and Bone) presented their next project – the spiritual successor to Dino Crisis in the third-person action-horror Code Violet.
The events of Code Violet will unfold in the 25th century, when, due to a grandiose cataclysm, the Earth became uninhabitable. The remnants of humanity, in search of a new life, moved to the planet Trappist 1-E, where they discovered that all the survivors were infertile.
In order to prevent the extinction of people, the best minds of the Aion colony on Trappist 1-E decided to use time travel technology to kidnap women from different historical periods in order to make them surrogate mothers of their children.
Players will play the role of a girl pulled from the past, Violet Sinclair, who finds out that there are dark secrets behind the “good intentions” of Aion executives.
Violetta will have to escape from the Aion bioengineering complex, which, judging by the debut trailer, has been captured by dinosaurs. The protagonist can avoid creatures, hide from them, or engage in open combat with them.
Code Violet is positioned as a PS5 exclusive (PS Store page) and is scheduled for release in July 2025. Although the mentioned trailer was recorded on a PC, there is no PC version in the developers’ plans.
On their microblog, Teamkill Media explained that they are not going to release Code Violet on PC because they are afraid of modders: “We don’t want anyone to make vulgar versions of the main character and other characters in the game.”
