Apple traditionally introduces some new devices in the spring, and this year the range of new products will likely consist of the relatively inexpensive iPhone SE 4 smartphone, as well as the iPad 11 tablets and the updated iPad Air. Well-known Bloomberg columnist Mark Gurman now clarifies that these devices will be released by April of this year.
Previously, the timing of the appearance of these Apple products was indicated more vaguely in the form of “first half of the year.” Apple may introduce iOS 18.3 and iPadOS 18.3 updates at the end of January, but the above devices should arrive later, as Gurman explains. Climate spring in the northern hemisphere begins in March or April, so the debut of Apple’s new products will probably fall during this period.
The iOS 18.4 update will bring long-awaited support for languages other than English for Apple Intelligence. This software is due out in April. All of the listed Apple hardware innovations will initially run operating systems of the 18.3 series, so they could be released as early as March. The fourth generation iPhone SE smartphone will look similar to the iPhone 14, but will retain a single camera lens on the back panel. From the iPhone 16 family, this smartphone will get a fairly modern A18 processor.
The Apple iPad 11 tablet will likely receive a modern A17 Pro processor, which will provide it with support for Apple Intelligence. Apple last updated the iPad Air tablet last year, giving it an M2 processor. One can only guess what changes await this device this spring.
