In a two-minute trailer published by the official PlayStation channel today, December 10, Upcoming Games in 2025 showed some of the games planned for release on PS5 in 2025.

In total, 16 projects were demonstrated in the video, of which only two are full-fledged PS5 exclusives (the games are listed in order of appearance):

  • Open-world action-adventure Ghost of Yotei (exclusive);
  • Courier action movie Death Stranding 2: On The Beach (exclusive);
  • Fantasy hunting action Monster Hunter Wilds;
  • Pirate action Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii;
  • Horror platformer Little Nightmares III;
  • Looter-shooter Borderlands 4;
  • Crime thriller Mafia: The Old Country;
  • Shooter Doom: The Dark Ages;
  • Action-adventure Hell is Us;
  • Airship survival simulator Forever Skies;
  • Slasher Dynasty Warriors: Origins;
  • The ridiculous walking simulator Baby Steps;
  • Dark fantasy adventure The Midnight Walk;
  • Chinese open world action RPG Where Winds Meet.

In the comments, users noticed that the trailer was missing several major releases of 2025, including Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 (February 4), Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (spring) and GTA VI (autumn).

Fans also noticed the absence of the stealth action game Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater in the video. In a similar trailer 11 months ago, Sony listed the MGS 3 remake as a 2024 release, but this time kept silent about it altogether.

A separate layer of commentators never tires of reminding Sony of their desire to see a re-release of the gothic action game Bloodborne, which will turn 10 years old in 2025. “Forgot Bloodborne Remastered,” insists madtoxicologist9717.

In a recent video for its 30th anniversary, PlayStation teased Bloodborne fans by accompanying the last slide – about persistence – with a still from the game’s pre-release trailer, and now it is reaping the rewards of its teaser.
