Subsidiary company XPeng AeroHT took part in the China Airshow, where it first publicly demonstrated the Land Aircraft Carrier electric vehicle, which is equipped with an electric passenger drone. The company is already accepting pre-orders for it and during the event it was noted that the company has already collected 2008 applications for the purchase of an unusual car.
Founded in 2013, XPeng AeroHT aims to begin mass production of the Land Aircraft Carrier in 2026, and recently broke ground on a facility to assemble them. As the manufacturer notes, the batch of 2,008 orders is the largest in the industry and covers 12 corporate clients from the fields of logistics, tourism, real estate and industrial technology. The annual circulation of the unusual vehicle should reach 10,000 copies.
At an aviation exhibition in China, which runs from November 12 to 17, XPeng AeroHT demonstrated for the first time the ability of a Land Aircraft Carrier flying module to take off with two people on board. Before this, the electric aircraft only participated in test flights. The cost of this aircraft, together with a six-wheeled hybrid “transporter,” should be $280,000.
The flying module can be recharged from a ground carrier, and the latter, thanks to the presence of a hybrid power plant, can travel up to 1000 km. Considering that flights on the four-seater “transporter” located in the back can only be carried out in certain areas of China, the presence of a large power reserve will be very useful.
