Fractal Design continues to create new computer cases with wooden elements in their design. This time the manufacturer presented the compact model Era 2 in SFF format, which has a top cover made of walnut. The remaining parts of the body are made of anodized aluminum.
Fractal Design Era 2 has dimensions of 366 × 165 × 314 mm and supports the installation of Mini-ITX motherboards. The case weight is 4.64 kg. It is equipped with two pre-installed Aspect PWM fans and generally supports the installation of up to four 120mm fans or up to two 120mm and two 140mm fans.
The case also claims to support LSS radiators with dimensions up to 315 × 140 mm and a total thickness (with fans) of up to 52 mm, or with dimensions up to 300 × 140 mm and a total thickness of up to 58 mm. Thus, it can easily accommodate a radiator with a standard size of up to 280 mm.
Fractal Design Era 2 can install an SFX or SFX-L power supply, a video card up to 328 mm long and up to 48–63 mm thick (depending on the location of the motherboard) and a processor cooler up to 55–70 mm high (also depends on the location motherboard tray).
Inside the case there are two combined seats for 2.5- or 3.5-inch drives. The front connector panel of the Era 2 is represented by one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 ports and a combined 3.5 mm audio output.
The recommended price for the Fractal Design Era 2 case is $199.99.
