Adata has introduced the Legend 970 PRO PCIe 5.0 NVMe solid-state drive. The new product, which will be available in 1, 2 and 4 TB versions, will be able to offer read speeds of up to 14 GB/s.
The Legend 970 PRO is based on the Innogrit IG5666 controller and 232-layer 3D TLC NAND flash memory chips. The SSD also uses SLC cache memory and DRAM buffer memory. The manufacturer does not specify their volume.
For Legend 970 PRO drives, sequential read speeds of up to 14,000 MB/s and sequential write speeds of up to 11,000 MB/s are claimed. The performance of new products in random read and write operations, depending on the model, is up to 1.8 million and up to 1.3 million IOPS, respectively.
The new product is equipped with an active cooling system, which includes a radiator and a small fan. According to Adata, this cooling system is up to 20% more efficient than a passive solution.
For Legend 970 PRO drives, a resource range from 740 to 2960 TBW (terabyte of overwritten information) is indicated, depending on the volume. All models in the series also come with a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Adata did not disclose the cost of the SSD Legend 970 PRO.
