Sapphire has unveiled the Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 graphics cards in their signature Nitro+ designs. The rumors were true: both new products are equipped with 12+4-pin 12V-2×6 connectors for additional power instead of the usual 8-pin PCIe connectors for Radeon cards. Both devices have already appeared on the official Sapphire website. The manufacturer even announced their specifications, which happens extremely rarely before the cards are released.

The Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 Nitro+ uses the Navi 48 XT graphics chip based on the RDNA 4 architecture with 3584 stream processors, 56 compute units (Compute Units), 56 third-generation RT cores and 112 second-generation AI accelerators.
The manufacturer claims a gaming frequency of up to 2210 MHz and a Boost frequency of up to 2700 MHz for the graphics processor. The card is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with a speed of 20 Gbps per contact and support for a 256-bit interface. Radeon RX 9070 is compatible with the PCIe 5.0 x16 interface. The Sapphire card is equipped with two HDMI ports and two DisplayPort 2.1a. The power consumption of the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 Nitro+ is declared at 245 W, and the recommended power supply is from 650 W.
The Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ model received the Navi 48 XTX graphics chip with 4096 stream processors, 64 computing units, 64 third-generation RT cores, and 128 second-generation AI accelerators. The Navi 48 XTX (like the Navi 48 XT) also includes 64 MB of Infinity Cache memory.
The Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ has a stated GPU boost frequency of 3060 MHz, while the gaming frequency is 2520 MHz. The card is equipped with 16 GB of GDDR6 memory with a speed of 20 Gbps per contact and support for a 256-bit interface. Like its younger sibling, it is compatible with the PCIe 5.0 x16 interface. The stated power consumption of the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ is 330 W, and the recommended power supply is 750 W or more.
The Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 in Sapphire Nitro+ editions feature massive 3.2-slot thick cooling systems and dual backplates, one of which is removable to reveal the power connector.
The dimensions of the cards are 308 × 128.5 × 65.68 mm. The new products support AMD HYPR-RX technologies with AFMF 2 frame generator, AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 AI scaling, as well as AV1 encoding and decoding. The cards come with an adapter from three 8-pin power connectors to one 12V-2×6 (new H++ standard). Also included is an L-shaped support to prevent the card from sagging.
