Nvidia released a fresh Game Ready driver version 576.02 yesterday, which added support for GeForce RTX 5060 Ti graphics cards and was supposed to fix more than 40 different old problems that owners of current and previous generations of cards encountered. In particular, Nvidia said that it fixed specific problems related to monitor flickering in games, crashes, image stuttering, video card memory buffer not loading, artifacts, etc. As it turned out, the new driver does not solve the problems for all users.

Some users have reported that the new driver has solved issues they were experiencing before installing it. For example, one user on the Reddit forum reported that after installing the latest software from Nvidia, his RTX 4090 PC stopped freezing in Cyberpunk 2077 with the frame generator and G-Sync enabled.
However, another user complained that the new driver did not solve his problem with multiple monitors, calling it a “terrible driver.” Two of the three displays connected to his RTX 3080 Ti graphics card still show a black screen. As a temporary measure, the user rolled back the driver to the older version 566.36, which does not have this problem. Another user using an RTX 4080 Super reported a similar problem with three monitors.
Another user complained that after installing the new driver on his RTX 4090, the PC immediately went to a black screen. The system did not respond to various commands. Only a hard reboot of the PC fixed the situation. Installing the new driver also reduced performance in Monster Hunter Wilds and Path of Exile 2 for some users. However, resetting the shader cache may be the solution to this problem. However, this method does not help everyone.
Other users complained that Nvidia had not fixed the problem of incorrect colors and brightness when using a non-native resolution for the monitor or simply when changing the resolution. As an example, one user posted two photos with the same monitor, but using different resolutions.

Since the launch of the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 graphics cards in January this year, for which Nvidia released driver version 572.16, users have been complaining about unstable operation of the graphics cards, black screens, problems with GPU initialization, and crashes. In February, Nvidia announced that it was investigating complaints related to the RTX 50-series cards. However, problems are observed in the operation of not only the new-generation accelerator models, but also in previous-generation graphics cards. In particular, owners of RTX 40 and 30 series cards are complaining about various problems. As a temporary solution, they were offered to roll back to a driver version released before the launch of the RTX 50-series cards. This driver turned out to be version 566.36, released in December 2024. At the moment, this is still the most stable version of the driver. The problem is that this driver does not include DLSS 4 support, which means that RTX 50-series card owners cannot take advantage of the same Multi-Frame Generator (MFG) that has been added to newer games.
Given that many of the issues reported by users are related in one way or another to the operation of DLSS and G-Sync or V-Sync, the best solution for now is not to use these features in games. Some game developers directly advise owners of the latest generation of Nvidia cards to use older versions of drivers to avoid possible problems.
