Intel has noted user complaints about excessive resource usage of some CPUs when paired with Intel Arc graphics cards. These issues were first reported by reviewers. For example, the YouTube channel Hardware Unboxed noted that Intel Arc graphics cards show a significant decrease in performance when paired with previous-generation processors.

Tests have shown that Intel B580 graphics cards exhibit significant performance loss when used with processors such as the Ryzen 5 2600, Ryzen 5 5600, and the Intel Core i5-9600K. In these configurations, GPU performance is reduced compared to systems equipped with more powerful and modern processors, such as the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Intel has acknowledged the issue and said it is investigating.

«“Thank you for your patience. We are aware of reports of performance sensitivity in some games when paired with older generations of processors. We have expanded platform coverage to include more configurations in our validation process and are continuing to explore additional optimizations,” an Intel representative said on the company’s official forum.

It is worth noting that the performance issues mentioned are not related to the Resizable BAR feature (which allows the graphics card to access more memory than is physically available by default). As is known, Intel graphics cards are very sensitive to the Resizable BAR feature and require its support by the system for optimal operation, which makes them more platform-dependent compared to NVIDIA and AMD graphics cards.
