While fans of the Japanese role-playing game series Persona are waiting for the next numbered part, Atlus is preparing another remake. At least, this is what the registration of a new domain in Japan hints at.

Blogger Faz, who specializes in Persona content, noted that the domain p4re.jp was created on March 20. However, information about it is not available upon request from the registrant (see the p4re.jp page in the Whois service).

It is worth noting that the announcement of Persona 3 Reload in 2023 was preceded by the registration (from March 15) of the p3re.jp domain with blocked registrant details. In other words, Atlus could also likely be behind the new domain.

Persona 3 Reload was officially announced three months after p3re.jp’s creation at the Xbox Games Showcase 2023 in June, with the remake set to be released in February 2024.

It’s worth noting that in February, singer Shihoko Hirata, known for her work on Persona 4, was spotted in a recording studio creating music for an unannounced new game.

Persona 4 takes place in the rural town of Inaba, which is shaken by a series of serial murders. To get to the bottom of the truth, the heroes master the power of Personas and delve into the world behind the television screen.

Persona 4 debuted in 2008 on PS2, and in 2012 received an expanded edition on PS Vita, subtitled Golden. It was this version that was ported to PC in 2020, and to PS4, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch in 2023.
