Audi presented the concept of a twin-engine electric SUV based on the production model Q6 E-tron – in this version the car is not afraid of any snowfall. The automaker built a working prototype of the car, raising the production version by 160 mm and widening it by 250 mm.

Audi Director General Gernot Döllner described the concept as a “rethought QUATTRO” – as the company denote all -wheel drive models; In this case, torque on each wheel compared to the basic performance was increased by 50 %. Each axis is driven by an electric motor with a total output capacity of 380 kW and a torque of up to 13,400 N · m-by 4400 N · m more than that of the standard Q6 E-Tron. In the original performance of the Q6 E-Tron, it was the first Audi electric car on the Volkswagen Premium Platform Electric (PPE), which was also used in A6 E-Tron and Porsche Macan EV.
The SUV is capable of climbing a hill with a steepness of up to 45°, but because of this, the maximum speed of the car had to be reduced to 175 km/h, which makes the concept more realistic. The off-road version of the Audi Q6 E-tron will appear at the FAT International Ice Race in Austria on February 1. The company also promised to show it in action on its social media pages.
