G.Skill has announced a new DDR5 RAM overclocking record. It was set by overclocker Seby, who made a G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 RAM bar (F5-8000J3848F24GX2-TZ5K) with a nominal DDR5-8000 mode and a capacity of 24 GB work at a speed of 12,772 MT/s.

The new record was set on the Asus ROG Maximus Z890 Apex enthusiast motherboard, paired with the flagship Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor.

Liquid nitrogen was used to cool the CPU. During the experiment, the temperature was 4.0 degrees Celsius.

According to CPU-Z Validator and the HWBOT database, the G.Skill memory module overclocked to 12,772 MT/s worked with timings of 68-127-127-127. The effective frequency of the RAM module was 6386.2 MHz.

The company notes that the G.Skill Trident Z5 DDR5 RAM modules (F5-8000J3848F24GX2-TZ5K) use SK hynix memory chips.
