Skydance New Media, headed by former Uncharted screenwriter Amy Hennig, is in no hurry to reveal the release date of the action adventure Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, but one of the game’s stars has revealed the developers’ plans.

As a reminder, Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra was fully unveiled (with a cinematic trailer) last spring and has since been announced for a multi-platform release throughout 2025.
Voice actor Khary Payton, who plays superhero Black Panther (Azzuri) in Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra, clarified for The Direct (see video below) when to expect the game’s release.
«”We’re still working on it. We’re still planning for 2025. We think it’s going to be a Christmas situation. I’m so excited!” Peyton said when asked about the release date of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra.
In other words, Skydance New Media plans to release Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra towards the end of 2025, during the pre-Christmas period (Christmas is celebrated before New Year’s).
According to the plot, a team of four heroes – Captain America (Steve Rogers), Black Panther, Gabriel Jones and Nanaly – must fight the terrorist organization Hydra during World War II.
They promise an original story, the ability to play as all four characters, the spirit of adventure familiar to Marvel fans, and graphics on the Unreal Engine 5. The game will be published by Plaion.
