As a reminder, Mafia: The Old Country was officially unveiled last August at the Opening Night Live 2024 presentation, and a trailer from The Game Awards 2024 confirmed that the game would be released in the summer of 2025.
According to poorly edited foreign versions of the Steam blog about the project’s participation in PAX East 2025, Mafia: The Old Country will go on sale on August 8 of this year for PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S.
At the time of publication, the leak had already been fixed, but the Gematsu portal has saved a screenshot (see image below) of the Spanish version of the page with the leaked information about the release date of Mafia: The Old Country.
Following the announcement, 2K plans to open pre-orders (Image source: Steam)
Apparently, the release date of Mafia: The Old Country should be announced as part of a live broadcast of a panel discussion from PAX East 2025. The presentation will take place on May 8 (starting at 21:00 Moscow time).
«Developers Hangar 13 will be revealing new information about the game and offering a rare behind-the-scenes look at the past, present, and future of this legendary franchise,” reads the official description of the event.
Mafia: The Old Country takes place in Sicily in the early 20th century. A poor miner and orphan, Enzo Favara, ironically gets a chance to join the mafia family of Don Torrisi.
