AMD has released a fresh Radeon Software Adrenalin 25.4.1 driver. It is optional, but adds support for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and also fixes a number of old issues.

The new AMD driver also expands support for FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 (FSR 4) scaling technology for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, Dynasty Warriors: Origins, Sid Meier’s Civilization VII, and Naraka: Bladepoint.

List of fixed issues:

  • When using Adjust Lighting v1 and Adjust Lighting v2 features in Topaz Photo AI on Radeon RX 9000 graphics products, crashes may be observed when applying effect models.
  • Flashing or flickering when using AMD FreeSync display synchronization technology;
  • Lower than expected performance may be observed when running DirectML/GenAI models in Amuse 3.0 on Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards and Ryzen AI 300 series processors.
  • When running certain diffusion models in Amuse 3.0 on Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards, image distortion may be observed;
  • Lower than expected performance in World of Warcraft (Western Plaguelands region) on Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards;
  • The inability to detect the integrated camera may have occurred after installing the driver using the factory reset function on some Ryzen AI Max and Max+ processors;
  • Added support for Amuse 3 and optimized AMD models.

List of known issues:

  • Intermittent application crashes and driver timeouts when playing The Last of Us Part II;
  • A memory leak may cause a system crash when using SteamVR on Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards. Users experiencing this issue are advised to disable Motion Smoothing in the SteamVR settings.
  • AMD Chat app installation progress within AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition may consistently show at 0% when using Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards.
  • Some VR headsets may experience stuttering when playing games at 80Hz or 90Hz refresh rates on Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards. Users experiencing this issue are advised to change the refresh rate as a temporary workaround.
  • Intermittent application crashes and driver timeouts in Cyberpunk 2077;
  • Intermittent application crashes and driver timeouts when compiling shaders in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth;
  • Battlefield 1 may fail to launch on Radeon RX 9000 series graphics cards in combination with integrated graphics on Ryzen 9 9950X series processors. Users experiencing these issues are advised to disable integrated graphics (iGPU) in the system BIOS as a temporary workaround.
  • Crashes may occasionally occur when launching the AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition user interface from the desktop context menu or system tray;
  • When playing Monster Hunter Wilds with Radeon Anti-Lag and Instant Replay features enabled, you may experience intermittent application crashes or driver timeouts.
  • When playing Battlefield (which one is not specified), artifacts or image distortions may appear on Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards.
