MSI unveiled gaming laptops at CES 2025 featuring the latest Nvidia GPUs and Intel and AMD CPUs. In particular, the updated MSI Titan, Raider, Stealth, Cyborg, Vector and other models received Nvidia GeForce RTX 50 series video cards.
MSI’s flagship Titan 18 HX AI gaming laptop features an 18-inch Mini LED display with a resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels, a refresh rate of 120Hz and an aspect ratio of 16:10. The device only comes with the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, while many other new MSI laptop models are also offered with AMD chips
For graphics processing, you can choose an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 video card or the flagship RTX 5090 model. The amount of DDR5 RAM is up to 96 GB. There is also a slot for an NVMe M.2 PCIe 5.0 x4 SSD and three slots for an NVMe M.2 SSD PCle 4.0 x4 (the PCIe 5.0 drive slot has additional cooling with a dedicated heatpipe for maximum performance).
The laptop is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 99.9 Wh, which corresponds to the maximum allowed for transportation on an airplane. The device specifications include two Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C) ports, three USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, an HDMI 2.1 connector, Gigabit Ethernet and an SD card slot. The laptop weighs 3.6 kg. MSI also released a special version of the MSI Titan 18 HX AI, inspired by Scandinavian mythology: the case is decorated with flickering Old Norse runes, and a dragon’s eye is depicted on the back of the display.
The MSI Titan 18 HX AI price starts at $5,000.
The MSI Raider 18 HX AI gaming laptop has the same 18-inch UHD+ Mini LED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, similar graphics card configurations, RAM, ports, battery and SSD-cooled storage. Unlike the Titan, the Raider does not come with a backlit touchpad or an additional RGB strip on the front panel. Unlike the Titan, the Raider laptop is offered with either an Intel Ultra 9 275HX (MSI Raider 18 HX AI model) or an AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D (MSI Raider A18 HX) configuration. The weight of both models is 3.6 kg.
The MSI Vector line of laptops, which includes versions with screens of 18, 17 and 16 inches, is designed in a discreet gray style, with the exception of the RGB-backlit keyboard. The Vector A18 model is equipped with an 18-inch IPS display with a resolution of 2560 × 1600 pixels, a refresh rate of 240 Hz and an aspect ratio of 16:10. It comes with RTX 5070 Ti or RTX 5080 graphics cards, AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX and Ryzen 9 8945HX processors, a 99.9 Wh battery and a wide range of ports. However, this model uses Thunderbolt 4 instead of Thunderbolt 5.
The compact Vector 16 HX AI and Vector 17 HX AI also support 2560 × 1600 resolution and a 240 Hz refresh rate. The 17-inch version offers more configurations, including an RTX 5090 graphics card.
MSI Stealth laptops are available in 16- and 18-inch screen configurations. Graphics cards range from RTX 5070 Ti to RTX 5090. The 18-inch model can be equipped with a 4K screen with a frequency of 120 Hz or a QHD display with a frequency of 240 Hz. It is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor (Stealth 18 HX AI A2XWJG, A2XWIG and A2XWHG models) or AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (Stealth A18 AI+ A3XWJG / A3XWIG / A3XWHG). The 16-inch version is equipped only with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 chip.
Cyborg 14 and 15 (2025) laptops retain the design of last year’s models. They are offered with Intel Core Ultra 7 240H or AMD Ryzen 7 260 processors and GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards. MSI has also updated its budget gaming laptops in the Crosshair and Pulse series, which are only equipped with Nvidia RTX 5070 graphics cards. MSI claims that the Crosshair 18 HX AI will be its most affordable 18-inch laptop.
With the move to Nvidia RTX 5000 series GPUs, MSI aims to reach all categories of gamers with an emphasis on technical specifications. In addition, it is actively introducing trends related to the use of artificial intelligence.
Apart from adding AI to the titles, MSI laptops will come with a new chatbot for computer control.
