At the CES 2025 exhibition taking place these days, Asus presented several products, including updated gaming laptops ROG Zephyrus G16 (2025) and ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025). The devices feature fast OLED displays and are available in a variety of configurations with cutting-edge Intel and AMD processors, as well as Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics.
The larger ROG Zephyrus G16 (2025) (GU605C) features a 16-inch OLED display that supports 2560 x 1600 pixels (2.5K) resolution and a 240Hz refresh rate. A panel with a peak brightness of 500 cd/m² and DCI-P3 color space coverage of 100% is used. The display has a Pantone Validated certificate, which indicates high quality color rendering. Nvidia G-Sync and Dolby Vision HDR technologies are supported.
The laptop is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 9 285H processor. The new product belongs to the Copilot Plus PC class of computers, as it is built on a processor with an NPU module that provides a high level of performance when performing artificial intelligence tasks.
In the maximum configuration, the device is equipped with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 video card with a TDP of up to 130 W, 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 solid-state drive. The design provides two PCIe 4.0 connectors for drives.
The laptop is equipped with a front camera capable of recording video in 1080p resolution. Built-in Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 modules are responsible for the wireless connection. The power source is a 90 Wh battery that provides charging from 0 to 50% in just 30 minutes.
ROG Zephyrus G16 (2025) is equipped with one Thunderbolt 4 port with support for DisplayPort alternative mode and Power Delivery technology, one USB Type-C, two USB Type-A, one HDMI 2.1 and a headset jack. Despite its impressive specs, the laptop is only 1.49 cm thin and weighs 1.85 kg. Windows 11 is used as the software platform.
The more compact ROG Zephyrus G14 (2025) (GA403W) is equipped with a 14-inch OLED display with support for a resolution of 2880 × 1800 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. DCI-P3 color space coverage is 100% and peak brightness is 500 cd/m². The display supports Nvidia G-Sync and Dolby Vision HDR technologies, and is also Pantone Validated.
Powering the Zephyrus G14 is the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, which provides high levels of performance, including when performing artificial intelligence tasks. The laptop will be available in different configurations, including a version with a GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card, 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
The power source is a battery with a capacity of 90 Wh. Wireless connection is provided by built-in Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 modules. The design provides interfaces: one USB 4.0, one USB Type-C, two USB Type-A, one HDMI and a headphone jack. The thickness of the laptop is 1.59 cm and the weight is 1.5 kg. Windows 11 is used as the software platform.
Both laptops will go on sale later this year. Retail price for the Zephyrus G16 (2025) starts at $2,000. The Zephyrus G14 price starts at $2,200 for the version with a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti video card. The cost of configurations with other GeForce video cards will be announced after the official announcement of new Nvidia video cards.
