For several years now, Samsung has been producing The Frame interior TVs, which can seamlessly fit into any environment. Thanks to this, they are highly popular among a certain category of consumers. This year, the South Korean manufacturer will bring to market a line of more advanced The Frame Pro TVs, including a model based on the latest Samsung Neo QLED panel.

Compared to the already released The Frame TVs, the new The Frame Pro has several key differences. First of all, we note that they use Mini-LED backlighting, which improves contrast, brightness and black color display quality. It is noted that we are not talking about Mini-LED in the usual sense. Typically, TVs with such backlighting have many small backlight zones behind the screen, due to which only certain areas of the screen can be illuminated where it is necessary. At the same time, black levels and shadows in other places maintain high display quality.

Instead, Samsung placed a Mini-LED backlight along the bottom of the screen. The manufacturer claims that this approach provides some level of local dimming. Samsung has also increased the refresh rate on The Frame Pro to 144Hz (up from 120Hz on The Frame models). At the same time, the company’s new TVs still lack support for Dolby Vision technology.

Another change is that data from the included communications device, which houses all the HDMI inputs for connecting external devices, is now transmitted wirelessly. The absence of a wire running from the Wireless One Connection Box to the TV will allow The Frame Pro to fit even more harmoniously into the decor of the room. Note that there is support for Wi-Fi 7.

The performance in The Frame Pro is driven by the Samsung NQ4 Gen 3 AI processor, which has already appeared in some of the vendor’s TVs released last year. Unfortunately, there is currently no more detailed information about the new Samsung interior TVs. It is also unknown whether they will use a panel that supports 8K and 4K resolution, which will significantly affect the cost of the new products.

Samsung will unveil The Frame Pro at the annual CES 2025 exhibition, which opens tomorrow in Las Vegas. It is expected that more detailed information about the characteristics and cost of the company’s new TVs, as well as the timing of their release to the market, will be announced during this event.
