“Spy” images of the version of the Galaxy S25+ smartphone intended for sales in the United States have appeared on the Internet, which give an idea of the appearance of Samsung’s future flagship. The presentation of the new product is expected to take place next month.
As SamMobile.com noted, in one of the images on the right frame of the device, below the power and volume buttons, there is a part that at first glance seems to be another button, but could well be a millimeter wave antenna (mmWave).
5G mmWave technology delivers high wireless speeds and ultra-low latency. If the unknown part seen in the leaked image of the Galaxy S25+ is indeed a 5G mmWave antenna, then it means that Samsung’s new series of flagship smartphones will offer much faster data speeds on US mobile networks, which use radio frequency signals ranging from 24 GHz to 100 GHz.
Many cellular operators around the world have launched mmWave support on their mobile networks. Moreover, most of them use network equipment developed for these purposes by Samsung. Apple’s iPhone smartphones introduced support for mmWave several years ago.
SamMobile.com believes that Samsung may also follow Apple’s path and remove the physical SIM card slot from Galaxy S25 models intended for sale in the United States.
