Huawei introduced the Mate 70 Pro+ and Mate 70 RS smartphones with titanium cases and prices ranging from $1,170 to $1,800

Huawei, along with the basic Mate 70 models, also presented older versions of its flagships – the Mate 70 Pro+ and Mate 70 RS smartphones. The back panel of the Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ boasts a coating made of a material that is an interweaving of gold threads and nylon fabric – the material shimmers beautifully in the light, but also copes with mechanical stress, the manufacturer assures. The frame is made of titanium alloy, which Huawei calls high-brightness basalt (dark volcanic rock), which is very durable and also resistant to scratches and drops. The case is protected from dust and moisture according to the IP69 standard.

The Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ screen has a diagonal of 6.9 inches with a resolution of 2832 × 1316 pixels. This is an LTPO OLED panel with a refresh rate of 120 Hz, a brightness of 2500 cd/m² and a second generation Kunlun protective glass. In addition to the front camera, a 3D face scanner is built into the screen, while the fingerprint scanner is located on the side of the phone. The processor, according to some reports, is the Kirin 9100 – it is produced using 6 nm technology and includes one Arm Cortex-X1 core with a frequency of 2.67 GHz, Cortex-A78 (2.32 GHz) and Cortex-A55 cores ( 2.02 GHz). The amount of RAM is 16 GB.

The Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ phone has three main cameras: the main one with a 50-megapixel RYYB matrix, 24 mm lens and variable aperture f/1.4–f/4.0; wide-angle with a 40-megapixel RYYB sensor and a 13mm lens with f/2.2 aperture; and a 48-megapixel RYYB-sensor telephoto camera with a 92.5mm lens, f/2.1 aperture, 4x zoom and close-focus capability. The front panel houses a 13-megapixel camera with f/2.4 aperture. The smartphone has a 5700 mAh battery (200 mAh more than the Mate 70 and 70 Pro).

The more expensive Huawei Mate 70 RS is also made of “high-brightness titanium”, but offers a higher quality display and protective glass. The screen diagonal is the same 6.9 inches, the LTPO matrix supports frequencies up to 120 Hz, the resolution is the same FHD+, but it is a dual-layer OLED display and its maximum brightness is 3500 cd/m²; The stronger “Kunlun basalt tempered glass” is used as protection. Other technical specifications are the same as the Mate 70 Pro+; Both phones run HarmonyOS 4.3 and support Baidu Satellite Connectivity.

Huawei Mate 70 Pro+ is available in Ink Black, Feather White, Gold and Silver Brocade, as well as Flying Blue, priced at 8499 yuan ($1173) for the 16/512 GB configuration and 9499 yuan ($1311) for the variant with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB on built-in storage. Huawei Mate 70 RS is available in red, white and black colors; the 16/512 GB configuration will cost 11,999 yuan ($1,656), and for 16 GB/1 TB you will have to pay 12,999 yuan ($1,794). Pre-orders for both models have already started; Smartphones will go on public sale on December 19.
