TVs in the Silent Hill 2 remake hide encrypted messages – they are written using Morse code

The message encrypted in Polaroid photographs turned out to be not the only secret message from the developers from the Polish studio Bloober Team to the players of the remake of the cult psychological horror game Silent Hill 2.

As noted by the PC Gamer portal, the other day a YouTube user under the nickname Shiba posted two videos from the remake of Silent Hill 2 demonstrating messages encrypted in interference on in-game TVs.

According to Shiba, the messages are written using Morse code. The sound is almost completely blocked by interference, but telegraph-like clicks indicate the beginning (loud) and end (quiet) of the signal.

Some consider the message to be indirect confirmation of the fan theory that James is stuck in a time loop

Three televisions (see video above) broadcasting the message “over and over…” (and so on) were found by Shiba at Brookhaven Hospital (in the cafeteria and nurses’ lounge) and Toluca Prison (in the boar section).

A television with another message encrypted in Morse code was found in the Woodside apartment complex. Although the story of Silent Hill 2 is already 23 years old, out of respect for those who are not familiar with the plot, we warn that the video and text below contain spoilers.

The main character James Sunderland arrives in Silent Hill in search of his dead wife. It turns out that he himself killed her, but his consciousness stubbornly denied this. “Why did you do that, James?” – asks the encrypted message.

The remake of Silent Hill 2 was released on October 8 on PC (Steam) and PS5. The game has earned high marks from critics and users. Sales of the project in the first three days after release exceeded 1 million copies.
