Oppo has launched global sales of its flagship smartphones Oppo Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, launched in China last month. The new products are equipped with powerful Dimensity 9400 processors, bright AMOLED displays with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and are protected from moisture and dust according to IP68/IP69 standards.
Find X8 has a 6.59-inch flat LTPO AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K (2760 × 1256 pixels) and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, which is surrounded on all sides by thin 1.45 mm frames. The older Find X8 Pro smartphone has a 6.8-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1.5K and a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz, as well as 1.9 mm thick frames. Both models have a peak global brightness of 1600 cd/m2 and a peak local brightness of up to 4500 cd/m2 when playing HDR content. The brightness of the backlight is adjusted using the PWM method with a frequency of 2160 Hz. The front cameras in the new products are built on 32-megapixel Sony IMX615 sensors.
The base model of the Find X8 is equipped with a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.56-inch Sony LYT-700 sensor with optical stabilization (OIS). It is complemented by a 50-megapixel ISOCELL JN5 sensor with autofocus and a wide-angle lens (120°), as well as a periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom based on a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor measuring 1/1.95 inches with OIS. The latter uses a triple prism periscope design that takes up less space than standard periscope lenses.
Find X8 Pro has four cameras, including a module with a 50-megapixel 1/1.4-inch Sony LYT-808 sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel camera with a 1/2.75-inch Samsung ISOCELL JN5 sensor with wide-angle optics (120° ), a periscopic telephoto camera with a 1/1.95-inch Sony LYT-600 sensor with 3x zoom and OIS, as well as a periscope telephoto camera with a 1/2.51-inch Sony IMX858 sensor with 6x zoom, OIS and digital zoom up to 120X.
The base model has up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 flash storage. Find X8 Pro has up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of flash memory. The Find X8 uses a 5630 mAh battery as a power source, while the X8 Pro uses a 5910 mAh battery. Both smartphones support 80W fast wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
Oppo’s new flagships have so far only been released in select markets. So in the UK only the Oppo Find X8 Pro is offered at a price of £1049. In the Netherlands, the Oppo Find X8 Pro is priced at €1,149.
In turn, the price of Oppo Find X8 in India with a memory configuration of 12/256 GB is 69,999 rupees (about $828), the cost of a model with 16/512 GB of memory is 79,999 rupees (about $946). The price of Oppo Find X8 Pro with 16/512 GB of memory is 99,999 Indian rupees (about $1,183). In Indonesia, the Oppo Find X8 12/256 GB model costs 13,999,000 local rupiah (about $880), while the 16/512 GB version is offered for 15,999,000 rupiah (about $1,000). The cost of the Oppo Find X8 Pro 16/512 GB model is 19,999,000 rupees (about $1,250).
