LG has introduced a 27-inch UltraGear 27GX790A gaming monitor. The new product is built on an OLED panel that supports a resolution of 2560 × 1440 pixels and a refresh rate of 480 Hz. This is the first LG monitor with similar technical characteristics.
The LG UltraGear 27GX790A uses a WOLED matrix, which differs from conventional OLED by using a white OLED with color filters to produce accurate RGB colors and high screen brightness. The technology provides high contrast ratio, vibrant colors, deep blacks and high clarity.
The UltraGear 27GX790A boasts a 0.03ms response speed, 98.5 percent DCI-P3 color coverage, and VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 and top-tier VESA ClearMR certifications. In addition, the new product is stated to be compatible with Nvidia G-Sync image synchronization technology and support for AMD Free-Sync Premium Pro.
The monitor features two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 2.1, a USB hub with one USB 3.0 upstream and two downstream USB 3.0 ports, and a 3.5mm audio output for a headset with support for DTS Headphone:X technology. The monitor comes with an ergonomic stand with the ability to adjust the height of the screen above the table, as well as its rotation and tilt angles.
LG has priced the UltraGear 27GX790A monitor at $999. The new product will go on sale in early 2025.
