The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra prototype completed the Nurburgring test, completing a lap in 6 minutes and 46.874 seconds, which gives it the right to be called the fastest four-door car. The Chinese manufacturer released the SU7 sedan, its debut electric vehicle, this spring, offering three variants: Standard, Pro and Max, starting at $29,870.

In July, a sports version of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra was added to them with two Xiaomi V8s and one V6 engines, which together produce 1548 hp. A single HyperEngine V8s engine has a maximum torque of 635 Nm and a shaft speed of 27,200 rpm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 1.97 s, and to 200 km/h in 5.96 s; the maximum speed is more than 350 km/h.

In January, Xiaomi’s EV division booked the Nürburgring for October 9 and 10, but the company was unable to conduct testing due to rain. On October 24, the track administration invited Xiaomi EV to conduct races for an hour from 23:00 on October 28 to 0:00 on October 29. The race started at 23:50 and ended at 23:56:46.874. The car was piloted by David Pittard, who won the Nürburgring 24 Hours last year. Serial production of Xiaomi SU7 Ultra will start in the first half of 2025; the cost of this version of the machine has not yet been specified.
