Today the flagship smartphone Xiaomi 15 Pro was officially presented. It is distinguished by the most powerful mobile processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite, a capacious 6100 mAh battery, three 50-megapixel cameras with Leica optics and support for satellite communications.
Xiaomi 15 Pro is equipped with a 6.73-inch curved LTPO OLED display with a resolution of 3200 × 1440 pixels and a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz – thanks to the TCL CSOT solution, energy consumption has been reduced by 24% compared to the screen on Xiaomi 14 Pro . The standard touch panel polling rate is 300 Hz, instantaneous – 2560 Hz. The peak brightness is 3200 cd/m², and the Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Glass 2.0 helps increase durability by 25-30%.
The high performance of the Xiaomi 15 Pro is provided by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor with second-generation Oryon cores, which offer a 45% increase in single-core and multi-core performance and a 44% increase in energy efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. RAM contributed to the high performance speed LPDDR5X and UFS 4.0 drive. The phone is also equipped with a cooling system with a surface area of 4053 mm². The software platform is HyperOS, which is responsible for comfortable operation, high performance, integration with the Xiaomi ecosystem and improved power management.
There are three cameras on the back of the Xiaomi 15 Pro: a 50-megapixel main camera with a 1/1.3-inch Sony LYT-900 sensor, f/1.44 aperture and optical image stabilization; wide-angle 50-megapixel on Samsung Isocell JN1 sensor with f/2.2 aperture; and a 50-megapixel periscope on a Sony IMX858 sensor and with optical stabilization. The latter offers 5x optical and 10x lossless digital zoom; High image quality is ensured by the ultra-transparent Xiaomi ALD coating and Leica optics. The front camera is equipped with a 32-megapixel OmniVision OV32B40 sensor.
Xiaomi 15 Pro is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 6100 mAh on components made of cobalt-lithium and silicon-carbon nanotubes – they provide an energy density of 850 Wh / l, and after 1600 charging cycles, 80% of the capacity is retained. Fast wired (90 W) and wireless (50 W) charging are supported; Xiaomi Surge P3 and G1 chips are responsible for their efficiency and battery life. There is support for satellite communications (probably the international version will not have it), there is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, the body has an IP68 rating for protection against water and dust, and supports the Wi-Fi 7 standard. There are stereo speakers and a USB Type-C 3.2 Gen port on board. 1 (5 Gbit/s) and IR port.
The Xiaomi 15 Pro smartphone is available in Spruce Green, Rock Gray and White. It will go on sale on October 31 at a price of 5299 yuan ($742) for the version with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage, 5799 yuan ($812) for the 16/512 GB version and 6499 yuan ($910) for 16 GB and 1 TB. For an additional 200 yuan ($28), you can choose an additional Bright Silver color.
