TP-Link has officially introduced two new dual-band routers supporting Wi-Fi 7 – Archer BE220 and Archer BE7200. Both models support EasyMesh technology, which makes it easy to combine multiple routers and repeaters within one network to increase coverage area. Support for the Easy Setup function has been implemented to simplify the process of setting up and managing devices, as well as HomeShield to protect against cyber threats.
The Archer BE220 is positioned as an entry-level router, providing data transfer speeds of up to 2882 Mbps in the 5 GHz band and 688 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band. The device design uses three built-in antennas to improve the quality of signal distribution. The router is equipped with one gigabit WAN port and four gigabit LAN ports. The Archer BE220 measures 170 x 155 x 52.5 mm and will be available for sale for around $99. Deliveries of the device will begin next month.
The Archer BE7200 is a mid-range router capable of meeting higher performance demands. The device provides data transmission at speeds of up to 5764 Mbit/s in the 5 GHz band and 1376 Mbit/s in the 2.4 GHz band. The design features an extensive array of ports, including one 10 Gigabit WAN/LAN port, a 2.5 Gigabit WAN/LAN port, and three Gigabit LAN ports, giving the device more flexibility across multiple networks. Archer BE7200 has dimensions of 200 × 176 × 55 mm, and its retail price will be $169.
